On Sunday 1st April, Thessaloniki’s waterfront filled with young runners, dressed in BARBA STATHIS’ colours, who came and happily ran the 1,000-metre race for elementary school pupils, participating in the city’s biggest sporting celebration!

Joining forces with two thousand children, BARΒA STATHIS, as a proud sponsor for the second consecutive year, once again spread the message that exercise and a healthy diet go hand in hand!

At the finish line, the children received their medal of participation, as well as a backpack with a certificate, commemorative gifts and a special issue on the nutritional value of vegetables! At the same time, they had the opportunity to visit the company’s stand and to photograph their medals with their loved ones in the specially designed photobooths, taking commemorative pictures!

BARBA STATHIS, giving priority to children and wanting to inspire society with the values of healthy eating, exercise and healthy lifestyle within its Corporate Responsibility programme, will continue to consistently support major sporting activities that promote these values.

The company’s ongoing effort to promote the values of proper nutrition and sports is supported by its own staff, who participated in the 5 and 10 km races, thus contributing to the corporate vision and highlighting its values.

The International Marathon “Alexander the Great” was organised by MEAS TRITON Sports Club, under the auspices of the Hellenic Amateur Athletic Association (SEGAS) with the support of the Thessaloniki SEGAS Union of Sports Clubs and the Municipalities of Thessaloniki, Pella and Ampelokipi-Menemeni.
