Significant Recognition for Goody’s-Everest Group in Sustainability

The Goody’s-Everest Group has been awarded a Gold distinction in the category of “Business Transformation & Sustainable Development – Corporate Governance System” at the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2024. This accolade highlights the successful integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles into the Group’s Corporate Governance framework.

The Group’s ESG strategy, embedded in its business model, is designed to pursue responsible and sustainable growth while creating long-term value for all stakeholders. Central to this transformation are priorities focused on developing a resilient organization with committed people, actively supporting an inclusive and fair society, and consistently working to reduce the Group’s environmental footprint.

Ms. Rineta Mitsi, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Director of the Group, stated: “Throughout the long history of our Group and our brands, we have received numerous accolades for the full scope of our activities. Each recognition brings us joy and satisfaction, as it reaffirms that our efforts are moving in the right direction. However, this particular award holds special significance because it acknowledges the demanding process of transformation and the integration of our sustainability strategy into our operations. Our sustainability strategy is rooted in our commitment to the 10 Principles of the UN Global Compact concerning human rights, labor conditions, environmental protection, and anti-corruption, integrating these principles into our business model, culture, and operations. Furthermore, it reflects our tangible contribution to achieving the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The first step in embedding the ESG strategy was the development of a robust governance framework that ensures the achievement of our objectives and commitments.”

Additionally, the Group received a Bronze award in the Sustainability Reporting category.
