Together, they traveled to three remote Greek islands
True to its commitment to use its scale for the greater good, everest continues to support the Greek non-profit organization HOPEgenesis, while also giving its customers the opportunity to contribute to the cause through specially designed donation boxes placed in everest stores.
HOPEgenesis operates in the fields of health and social welfare, focusing on tackling Greece’s declining birth rate and supporting families. Through its initiatives, more than 900 children have been born in remote and border island areas of Greece.
Recently, a team from everest joined HOPEgenesis on an awareness trip to the islands of Oinousses, Psara, and Agios Efstratios. During their visit, they met with local residents and distributed gifts to the children. In response to the communities’ requests and as part of their broader effort to support local life, everest also provided the necessary equipment to create an open-air summer cinema on Psara and a film screening hall on Agios Efstratios. These initiatives aim to bring joy and entertainment to children, young people, and the entire local community through the magic of cinema.
Mr. Kosmas Krokidas, Chief Marketing Officer of the Goody’s–Everest Group, stated:
“For us at everest, supporting initiatives and organizations that carry out meaningful social work is a strategic pillar and a key part of our commitment to responsible entrepreneurship. Throughout our collaboration with HOPEgenesis, we’ve had the chance to witness firsthand the significant impact of their work on one of the most pressing issues facing our country: low birth rates. It is a great pleasure for us to contribute to this effort, and we strive to support it at every opportunity. That’s why we joined the HOPEgenesis team on their journey to Greece’s border islands, highlighting the importance of the work being done there.”
Ms. Eva Papadaki, Project Manager of the NGO HOPEgenesis, added:
“In recent years, everest has stood by HOPEgenesis, not only by helping us reach a wider audience but also by actively supporting our work in remote villages and border islands. We thank them sincerely and hope this valuable partnership continues for many years, for the benefit of families living in Greece’s remote regions.”
